Relationship & Separate rental properties intermingled: Separate rental properties were used as security to purchase relationship rental properties. When the separate property houses were sold, the relationship rental debt was effectively "repaid"; and thus the relationship rental properties were now debt free & the separate property having "disappeared". Our clients "ex" then claimed 50% of the relationship houses; thus ignoring the separate property contributions made by our client. Hard case to prove; however we traced all banking transactions, and re-constructed the picture as to what occurred; and provided our report. In the Court, our client got her separate property back.

Inheritance intermingled with relationship investments: Our client's "ex" claimed everything to be 100% relationship property. However, our financial tracing identified the opposite - 80% was separate property for our client; $100,000 saved.
